Chestnut Hill Rotary members Jay Pennie and Chris Spolsky and her husband, Tom Uzzell, attended the 2024 Scholarship Awards Dinner on Thursday evening at the Williamson College of the Trades. The celebration dinner brought together over 100 attendees including teachers, faculty, board and school administration with student recipients of scholarships to thank donors for their support.

Veteran Police Inspector to Address Violent Crime

Philadelphia Police Inspector D.F. Pace, a seasoned member of the police force with more than 20 years of service, is slated to speak at the Chestnut Hill Rotary Club's breakfast meeting. The event is scheduled for Feb. 28 at 7:30 am, at the Center on the Hill, located at 8855 Germantown Ave. within the Presbyterian Church of Chestnut Hill. This engagement is open to the public and will feature a presentation titled “Crime in the City,” specifically focusing on the issue of violent crime in Philadelphia and the challenges it poses to law enforcement.
Rotaplast International: Saving Smiles for More than 30 Years
Rotaplast International, Inc. helps children and families worldwide by eliminating the burden of cleft lip and/or palate, burn scarring, and other deformities. Working with local professionals, Rotarians, and other organizations, the organization sends multidisciplinary medical teams to provide free reconstructive surgery, ancillary treatment, and training for the comprehensive care of these children.

Pace, who served in the force for more than two decades, will be speaking at the Rotary Club of Chestnut Hill breakfast program on February 28, 7:30 am, Center on the Hill, 8855 Germantown Avenue, Presbyterian Church of Chestnut Hill. The public is invited to attend the meeting which will include a short question and answer session.
MLK Day of Service a Big Success!
More than 40 Chestnut Hill Rotary volunteers collected, sorted, and delivered a dozen carloads of warm clothing, food, and medical supplies to Prevention Point Philadelphia (PPP) in honor of Martin Luther King's Day of Service.
Chestnut Hill Rotary has a tradition over the past few years collecting donations from members, friends and neighbors of the local community and deliver to PPP for use by their clients.

Chestnut Hill Rotary Community Service members, Frank Hollick and David Gary Smith recently presented a check for $1,000 to Chestnut Hill Meals on Wheels to purchase additional reusable insulated bags for food delivery to their clients. Chestnut Hill Meals on Wheels provides community seniors with healthy lunch and dinner meals delivered by caring volunteer drivers.
