Chestnut Hill Rotary: Fun, Friendship, and Fulfillment Video Premieres

Chestnut Hill Rotary members and guests had the opportunity at a recent breakfast meeting to see the premiere of Chestnut Hill Rotary's new video highlighting their passion for joining Rotary. Guests included Carl Weiss, who handled the production and Lisa Leonard, Rotary District 7450 who conducted the interviews and assisted with the editing.

Topics covered in the video include: fundraising and social events; community service and local impact; Rotary’s global impact; and leadership, networking, and personal growth opportunities available to members.

The video, entitled Chestnut Hill Rotary: Fun, Friendship, and Fulfillment, was filmed over three sessions and included 22 Rotarians and 5.5 hours of filming which was edited to down to 8 minutes. Nearly 100 hours of volunteer time was used over six months to record, edit, and produce the video.

In addition to the main video, there will be eight 30 - second to two-minute edits released from the video for use on social media. Other recorded material will be used for additional topics in the coming months such as the Rotary-created first responder organization, ShelterBox.

The video received very positively by members and guests who attended the premiere as well as those who viewed on social media.

Really fantastic job,” said Renee DeCoskey, who serves as Rotary District Governor in Southeaster PA. “I'm truly a little choked up from watching this.” De Coskey later shared the video with the 45 clubs in the area. “I want to share this wonderful video that the Chestnut Hill club created to tell their Rotary story. Take a few minutes to watch it and think about how you could make your story known in your community, too!”

“Congratulations to the entire team!,” said Diane Donaher, who serves as District Governor in the neighboring area. “This is a wonderful communication of all that Rotary and being a Rotarian can be. Thank you for the effort. Whether we are in the same district or not, this video will inspire people to be proud of their club and consider new ways to improve our public image.”
