The Extraordinary List of Famous People Who Love to Play BINGO

Isn’t the internet amazing?  I mean, how else would we know of all the famous people who love to play Bingo?

There’s Catherine Zeta-Jones, who stole my heart in the 1998 movie Zorro. She says she has loved Bingo ever since she was a kid in Wales.

Then there’s Russell Crowe, a Gladiator and Bingo enthusiast who was a Bingo caller in his 20s in his Australian hometown.

Cristiano Ronaldo, international soccer star, apparently doesn’t get enough excitement on the football pitch and opts for the thrill of a good Bingo game in his spare time.

It’s nice to think we could hobnob with all sorts of famous people who anxiously await whether G53 will be called, and they will be able to shout their favorite word, “BINGO!”

But honestly, isn’t there going to be enough thrilling action on May 3 at the Chestnut Hill Rotary night’s BINGO extravaganza without the rich and famous in attendance?

I mean, there are prizes for the winners of all 10 of the games, silent auction gift baskets for you to throw in your chance to win, and fun to share with friends and family.

Best of all, with the net proceeds of the event going to the charities that Chestnut Hill Rotary supports with events like these, what better way to have an enjoyable evening than to see if a luck streak is going to come your way at just the right moment?

To participate, go to the Chestnut Hill Rotary’s website, chestnuthillrotary.org/bingo-fun-raiser, and reserve one or more Bingo cards for the big night at $20 for one card each game.  Or if you have the mental capacity of Prince William, who played Bingo while at the Sandhurst Military Academy, feel free to play two or three cards at once. Just don’t forget to mark the spot when that number is called!

If you are more of a spontaneous type, walk-ins are welcome on the evening of the event, at $25 for one card each game.  So, if jumping in at the last moment is your thing, we gladly welcome your participation.

Grab a seat, have yourself one of the many different types of beverages available and wait to see who else might walk in the door.  You never know?  Sharon Osborne loves Bingo and, just like you, she might be anxiously awaiting May 3 at the Parish Hall at St. Paul’s Church winning a big prize!
